Accompanying Communities in HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care

NADEV launched its Participatory HIV/AIDS Control Programme (PHACOP) in 2002. It has over the years sensitized hundreds of communities on the causes and prevention of HIV/AIDS, demonstration on condom use and gender dimensions of HIV/AIDS. Between 2005 and 2010, and with support from CARE Cameroon, it supported councils to develop HIV prevention programmes, promoted an association of people living with HIV/AIDS, supported orphans, trained pupils and students on life skills, etc. In 2015 it partnered again with CARE Cameroon to track the use of Global Fund monies in the improvement of care for people living with HIV/AIDS.

NADEV has mainstreaming HIV/AIDS in all its programmes with the determination to support de-stigmatization and improve care for the infected and affected.
