Local Development Planning

NADEV visisted several councils including Muyuka, Alou, Menji, and Ekondo Titi to draw up five-year strategic local development plans between 2005 and 2006. It also facilitated the preparation of an integrated development plan based on GIS coordinates for Lebialem division. With funding from the National Community Driven Development Program (PNDP), NADEV assisted Menji and Alou councils between 2011 and 2012 to update their development plans based on Cameroon’s Growth and Employment Strategy Paper (GESP Vision 2035).

The plans were drawn up using gender-sensitive participatory processes involving multi-stakeholder participation and analysis, public consultation meetings, situational and institutional analysis, and planning workshops using ZOPP methodology.
